Armenian Art – a new perspective

Event Slider

Does Calouste Gulbenkian’s collection reflect his Armenian origins?

The most recent exhibition in the Eastern Islamic Art gallery offers a new perspective on the myriad Armenian connections: from manuscripts of the Gospels and artworks made using luxury techniques and materials, to the activities of Armenian craftspeople and traders from Bursa (present-day Turkey) and Isfahan (Iran).

Join Jessica Hallett, deputy director of the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum, and Ramik Panossian, director of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation’s Armenian Communities Department, as they present for the first time the results of their most recent research.
