Grigory Sokolov, one of the greatest pianists playing today, ensures us that teenager Alexandra Dovgan cannot be called a “child prodigy” because “though he is indeed a prodigy he does not play like a child”. Born in 2007, the young Russian virtuoso has thrilled the world of erudite music not just by his technical abilities but also thanks to a maturity of performance that only musicians touched by genius can aspire to. A winner of major international competitions and a guaranteed presence at the most prestigious concert halls, in Dovgan we have the perfect opportunity to witness a rare talent rising to the top.
