Guided tour to an exhibition that creates a dialogue between two artists from different generations, Paula Rego (1935-2022) and Adriana Varejão (1964) revisiting the work and themes of the artists and proposing new narratives.

The work of Adriana Varejão, a Brazilian artist, who has developed a pioneering work in post-colonial thought, in relation to Paula Rego, whose artistic work unfolds politically from a productive tension between the notions of private and public, will certainly broaden the interpretative universe of the two artists.

The painting The firstmess, whose content is related to colonization of Brasil by the Portuguese, will be the starting, condensing some of the stories that need to be told and problematized. The dialogue between the works of the two artists and the power dynamics of two generations will be reinterpreted, with a special focus on the history of women in different geographies, opening a vast thematic arc of reflection on the present.

The tour in Portuguese costs 100,00 € per group plus the exhibition ticket value and in other languages costs 120,00 € per group plus the exhibition ticket value. All tours must be booked at least two weeks in advance.
