In the context of the exhibition Leonor Antunes, the constant inequality of leonor’s days*, presented at Centro de Arte Moderna, the artist Leonor Antunes selected a set of books by women artists from the Art Library Collection and documentation by Gulbenkian scholarship holders from the Foundation’s Archives.
In the Art Library’s Reading Room, artist’s books by Dayana Lucas, Isabel Carvalho, Leonor Antunes, Lúcia Prancha and Maria José Oliveira are presented and available for consultation, as well as the recently acquired The Flat Book (London, 1939) by Leslie Martin and Sadie Speight, authors of Centro de Arte Moderna’s historic building.
This selection also includes a photographic record of a performance by the artist Joana Rosa, from her Gulbenkian scholarship report (Slade School, London 1978-1980), which belongs to the Foundation’s Archives.
