Based on the story of the rise and fall of a charismatic, populist artist who uses television to gain power, A Face in the Crowd explores the influence of the media and the susceptibility of audiences.

In a small town in countryside America, Marcia Jeffries, a local radio personality, discovers street musician Larry ‘Lonesome’ Rhodes.

As his fame grows as a television star, social commentator and aspiring politician, Rhodes shows his true arrogant and manipulative nature, paving the way for his rapid decline.
