Location
Nave Centro de Arte Moderna GulbenkianWOW! What is this? It has such a strange shape! Could it be art? Or maybe it’s just broken? Or expired? It doesn’t look like anything I’ve seen before.
Best not to look.
It might be a hallucination, or something dangerous… or maybe it’s the kind of art that doesn’t feel very good. And that thing? A piece that won’t stay still on the wall? Oh no, I might faint.
Better be careful and look… with eyes closed.
Some artworks tickle your eyes, others make you want to dance, or laugh out loud. But there are also those that leave you dizzy, with the sudden urge to sit down and simply say: “WOW!”
WOW! is a guided tour through museums and museum spaces, inspired by Stendhal Syndrome – a psychosomatic “illness” triggered by the overwhelming beauty of art.
It’s a moving performance aimed at primary school teachers and students, created in collaboration with visual artist duo Sara & André, costume designer Inês Ariana, and musician George Silver.
