The dance that dances the dance

Event Slider

A performance created and performed by students of the BA in Dance at the Higher School of Dance, departing from the exhibition Drawing Vocabularies (Desenhar Vocabulários) by Rosa Barba.

Within the image, movement; within movement, encounter; within encounter, me and you. I see movement and move with it. I do not know whether the eyes dance more than the rest of the body. The body in the eyes opens itself to space. We are the dance that dances the dance, that looks at itself and touches itself, that projects itself and reconfigures itself.

This performance forms part of the continuing project Dancing Art (Dançar Arte), a collaboration between CAM’s Education, Mediation and Participation Department and the Higher School of Dance of the Lisbon Polytechnic Institute, pursuing a central question: how do you dance an exhibition?
