Transitions in Later Life learning seminar report

14 aug 2014

On 24 July, we held a learning seminar at our offices in 50 Hoxton Square to launch new scoping research on one of our programme strands of work: transitions in later life.

A variety of academics, policy makers, community groups, funders and volunteers came together to share learning and offer new insights on later life transitions. Panel presentation were given by: Guy Robertson, Director of Positive Ageing Associates, Tom Scharf, Professor of Social Gerontology at NUI Galway, Patrick Shine, Partner at the Shaftesbury Partnership and Lynne Berry, Chair of the Commission on the Voluntary Sector and Ageing.

In order to recap on the key discussions and commentaries from the session, we have  written a learning report on the main points to have emerged from the seminar, which we hope will engender future thinking and practice in this area.

Thank you to all our panel speakers and attendees for contributing to an interesting and engaging learning seminar.
