Common Seas received £20,000 to support a new cross-sectoral expert forum to develop ocean-friendly design standards and ‘design out’ plastics from the marine environment. It also was tasked with inspiring innovation and collaboration initially through a study trip to the North East Atlantic gyre to experience an ‘oceanic dump’ first hand.
