The UK Branch of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation commissioned the FrameWorks Institute to map the gaps between the expert and public understandings of marine conservation issues.

FrameWorks is an independent nonprofit organisation that designs, conducts, and publishes multi-method, multi-disciplinary communications research to identify the most effective ways of reframing social and scientific topics. In this report not only have the differing understandings between experts and the public been mapped, but approaches to change these views have been offered to help marine NGOs close these gaps.
