Carlos Bunga was invited by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation’s CAM to conceive a site-specific project for a shipping container. The political but also poetic thought the artist has developed around the idea of the house is here revealed and questioned. What exactly are our houses? The sense of protection they convey is not in keeping with a broader concept of home: a delimited place, a place of memory, or a non-place.
