Built in the sixties, a project by landscape architects António Viana Barreto and Gonçalo Ribeiro Telles, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation’s Garden is one of the most iconic modern gardens in Portugal and a prime example of Portuguese landscape architecture.
In this Digital Archive of the Garden you will find documents that explain the uniqueness of this work, based on the records of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation archive, which are a part of, or directly related to, the Foundation Garden Project. Also in this digital archive are some other documents from the personal archives of Gonçalo Ribeiro Telles and Antonio Facco Viana Barreto.
