On HEY100 and a Radical New Path for Leadership Development in the Social Sector

The interim findings of HEY100, a place-based leadership programme that ran throughout Hull and East Yorkshire last year, have just been released. This pilot was co-funded by ourselves (the UK Branch of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation through The Civic Role of Arts Organisations) and Arts Council England, the National Lottery Community Fund and the Rank Foundation. HEY100 was delivered by Clore Social.
HEY100 focused in particular on the styles of leadership needed for success in times of increasing demand and decreasing resources. The programme looked to bring together leaders from charities, social enterprises, community businesses and arts/cultural organisations. It wasn’t just open to established leaders such as CEOs and directors, but to four other groups: emerging leaders, new leaders, community leaders and trustees.
