A Restless Art

How Participation Won, and Why It Matters

January 2019

Author: François Matarasso

In an uncertain world, where communities and people are increasingly having to find their own solutions, the resources of community art are more important than ever. A Restless Art, by practitioner and writer François Matarasso, provides a modern day snapshot of innovative practice from around the world, and sets out an argument for the value of participatory and community art.

We supported François Matarasso to write this book under our Participatory Performing Arts programme (2014- 2018).
