The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is an international organisation that conducts research to shape policies that will improve the economic and social well-being of people around the world.

The OECD received £45,000 to conduct a global forward-looking assessment of the ocean economy to 2030 and beyond, with particular emphasis on the development potential of emerging ocean-based industries. The Ocean Economy in 2030  analyses the future of the blue economy and the opportunities for blue prosperity.
