Client Earth

Client Earth is a group of activist lawyers committed to securing a healthy planet.  They work to protect the environment through advocacy, litigation and science.

Client Earth was given £15,000 to support the organisation to participate in Phase One of the ‘Valuing the Ocean‘ Marine CoLABoration, convening a facilitated group of organisations to explore how to communicate the role of the ocean in human wellbeing and deploy evidence in more effective ways.

The Foundation later granted Client Earth £40,000 to increase their capacity to support other NGOs with legal expertise when critical new biodiversity policy opportunities or threats emerge e.g. the development of aquaculture standards across the EU, and the UK Government’s 25 Year Plan to restore biodiversity.
