COVID-19: UK Branch Statement
In these challenging and uncertain times, we would like to reassure our partners that we remain committed to supporting you directly and indirectly.
Following government advice, we have suspended working from our office; our team is working from home for the foreseeable future. Events and face-to-face meetings have been cancelled, postponed or will take place digitally or by phone. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any concerns or queries by emailing the relevant programme manager or our info account: [email protected].
We will proceed with our planned activities as much as possible, so that we can continue supporting you to deliver your valuable work and meet our aim of benefitting people and the planet. We will also explore what responses and adaptations are needed to address the emerging challenges and opportunities.
Due to the increased pressures COVID-19 poses for all organisations, we understand that your ability to meet the specific terms of our agreement with you may be affected. We understand timings may slip and we may need to consider scheduling payments differently.
Collaboration is a thread that runs through all our work. As part of this, we continue to be open and flexible to requests from our partners as you adapt to these changing circumstances. We welcome your suggestions on what more we could do. We do not, however, accept unsolicited requests for support from organisations we are not already working with.
The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation (UK Branch) remains focused on building coalitions to tackle complex global problems.
*We have also signed the London Funders statement on COVID-19
