Public Engagement for Climate Change: 8 case studies

To accompany a literature review on public engagement for climate change (published April 2021), the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation (UK Branch) partnered with the Centre for Public Impact (CPI) to produce a series of eight case studies which document interesting and innovative approaches to engaging the public on climate change from around the world.

Each case study sparks dialogue on how processes can be made more adaptive to evolving local conditions, more inclusive and socially just, and better able to embrace the complexity and uncertainty of climate issues.

The case studies are accompanied by a synthesis report which provides practitioners working on public engagement around climate change, with a framework to unpack the strengths and weaknesses of different approaches.
