The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation (UK Branch), in partnership with the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH), has published a new report examining how attitudes to ageing can affect our health and wellbeing.

That Age Old Question reveals that ageist views are held across the generations, and that an ageing society is viewed by many as a challenge rather than an opportunity. The report makes a number of recommendations, aimed at a range of stakeholders, to address some of the key drivers and negative consequences of societal ageism.

The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation (UK Branch) has worked in the ageing field for a decade. Currrently, its Transitions in Later Life programme aims to help people in mid to later life feel better supported to manage changes as they age.
