The third concert in the cycle dedicated to songs in the languages of the Iberian peninsula focuses on the Basque language, Euskara, undoubtedly the most unique of them all. Its unknown origins pre-date Latin and its deep-rooted ties to rural culture have complicated its use in musical composition until recent times. This concert presents a combination of new-style folk songs and works by composers as important as Pablo Sorozábal or Jesús Guridi.
