Doclisboa

This year marks a brand new collaboration between the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and Doclisboa – International Film Festival, with a cycle of films, including several national, European and worldwide premières, and the video-installation Third Floor by Italian artist Luciana Fina, part of the “Passages” section, hosted in the building of the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum’s Modern Collection.

Between 21 and 30 October, the multipurpose room will screen a programme of thirty-three films, most of them included in the “Correspondence Films – Letters, Distances, Displacements” section, as well as dipping into other sections, namely “New Visions,” “Heart Beat,” “Portuguese Competition” and “International Competition.” Making room for the written and spoken word, promoting the building of a community, weaving paths that lead to encounters (first and foremost, between the film and the visual arts) are some of the central themes uniting this cycle of films and the work of Luciana Fina, presented in the temporary exhibitions gallery of the Modern Collection, between 21 October and 23 January.
