Designed by acclaimed Pritzker-winning architect Kengo Kuma, the new building is a fluid, welcoming space that invites you to experience art in perfect harmony with its surroundings. Arch Daily’s Building of the Year 2025.
Engawa, connecting inside and outside
The striking canopy inspired by Japanese architecture creates a seamless transition between architecture and nature – a sheltered yet open space, its surface shimmering with hundreds of Portuguese ceramic tiles.
An oasis in the city

Exhibitions and Live Arts
Throughout the year, CAM’s galleries showcase a dynamic programme of exhibitions, featuring both renowned and emerging artists. Live arts events – including performances, concerts, and talks – add to the experience, offering something new to explore with every visit.
