CGF and botanic gardens tackling public health problems
Today the Foundation is co-hosting an event called Botanic Gardens for Healthy Lives, which wraps up an important competent of the Foundation's work from 2010-2015.
The event will see representatives from organisations across the UK meeting at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh to discuss and learn from programmes piloted in the Foundation’s five year Valuing Nature work.
A report into Valuing Nature will also be launched at the event.
The keynote speaker Ulrik Sidenius from Copenhagen University will be talking about Nacadia, a Healing Forest Garden in Denmark which treats people with mental health problems.
Attendees will be given a tour of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh and shown its initiatives to help people with health problems.
