Ed coordinates and works on the Foundation’s grantmaking and programme activities in the UK and is part of the team that delivers the Gulbenkian Prize for Humanity. Between 2023 and 2025 he led the UK Branch’s work on public engagement on climate and ocean action.

Before joining the Foundation, Ed worked in the cultural sector on environmental and interdisciplinary public programming.

Ed has a Physics degree from the University of Oxford and a PGCE in Science Education from the University of Manchester.
