Georges Bizet

Carmen
Opera in four acts

Screening of the Metropolitan Opera’s production of one of the most popular works in the operatic repertoire. Bizet’s Carmen is an absolute classic, following in the footsteps of the most famous femme fatale of the great stages, an absolutely free gypsy woman who ends up entangling the soldier Don José in her charm. Directed by acclaimed English director Carrie Cracknell in her Met premiere, middle soprano Aigul Akhmetshina performs as the passionate protagonist, with Piotr Beczala as her beloved Don José.
