The perspectives of anthropology, geology and aesthetics informed by psychoanalysis bring to Sara Bichão’s project the enriching framework of a conversation, with the assistance of Sónia Almeida, César Andrade and Sílvia Rosado.

The indexation of artistic objects to affections and intimate experiences intersects with the magnetic reality of the volcano and with an evaluation of the cultural abyss between scientific knowledge and that which comes from real contact with natural phenomena; the absence of which must have distorted the artist’s assessment of risk in thinking of this crossing.
