Irrigation Layout Plan for the Area West of the Open-Air Amphitheatre

This technical drawing forms part of a series of projects developed by landscape architect Edgar Fontes from 1981 onwards, following the construction of the Centro de Arte Moderna building.

Although Edgar Fontes’s interventions extended throughout the Garden, they focused primarily on the areas surrounding the new building that were altered as a result of its construction.

Changes to the vegetation system arising from the construction of the new CAM and CAI (Centro Artístico Infantil) buildings led to the development of a new irrigation plan.
