Fact-Checking and Countering Disinformation: Poland’s 2025 Presidential Election addresses the growing challenges of disinformation and external influence on the electoral process. With the presidential election being a pivotal moment, the project aims to strengthen societal resilience by delivering reliable information, fostering critical thinking, and educating voters on identifying false narratives. It seeks to expand fact-checking efforts and engage new audiences across social media and news platforms through diverse formats and channels.

Key activities include real-time monitoring and verification of candidates’ statements, particularly during debates and press events, ensuring accurate information reaches the public promptly. A dedicated subpage will feature verified updates on candidates’ programs, election promises, and analyses of disinformation trends, enabling voters to access credible insights on campaign issues.

The project also emphasizes disinformation monitoring, with weekly reports and alerts for media, enhancing response speed to manipulation and supporting journalists in accurate reporting. Additionally, an educational campaign using infographics, videos, and podcasts will teach voters to recognize disinformation. An expert series will analyze campaign ads, language, and persuasive techniques, raising awareness of emotional and manipulative messaging.

Building on Demagogue’s experience, the project introduces innovative components like live fact-checking and disinformation narrative monitoring. By engaging diverse audiences, it aims to boost resistance to disinformation and uphold the credibility of Poland’s electoral process.
