On 29 April 2022, the European Media and Information Fund closed three Calls for Proposals and a Special Funding Round with the total joint allocation of €5,017,500.00.

60 applications were submitted by entities based in 20 countries with a total amount requested of € 17,667,706.02.

– Boosting Fact Checking Activities, Special Funding Round – Ukraine: 5 proposals

– Multidisciplinary Investigations on Disinformation in Europe: 6 proposals

– Supporting Research into Media, Disinformation and Information Literacy Across Europe: 13 proposals

– Media and Information Literacy for Citizens Empowerment: 36 proposals

The ongoing funding round of the Call “Boosting Fact Checking Activities in Europe” is open until 30 June 2022.

The launch of next calls for the other priority areas (Investigations on Disinformation, Research and Media Literacy) is planned for the 4^th Quarter of 2022.
