Open calls 2018: workshops kick off

Technical workshops are carried out until September
Workshop at the University Campus of Ponta Delgada (Azores), 19 July 2018

The first technical workshops on project preparation and submission of applications that the Active Citizens Fund in Portugal is promoting throughout the country (Continental Portugal and Autonomous Regions), to support Portuguese Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) in underserved areas and from underserved target groups, were held on 19 and 24 July, on the island of São Miguel, at the University Campus of Ponta Delgada, and on the island of Madeira, at the Nossa Senhora da Conceição Foundation in Funchal, respectively.

In addition to short presentations on the Active Citizens Fund as a Civil Society support mechanism funded by the EEA Grants, these workshops include a module on social intervention project design and another one on technical aspects related to filling the application forms. These workshops are open to all NGOs and aim to clarify any doubts that may arise during the process and to help NGOs to submit successful applications, according to the Rules of the Active Citizens Fund in Portugal.

The workshops related to the open calls in 2018 are resumed in September around the country: Coimbra (03/09); Covilhã (04/09); Vila Real (07/09); Évora (10/09); Faro (11/09); Lisbon (18/09).

The public presentation of the Active Citizens Fund in Portugal will take place on September 14 at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon and on September 17 at the António de Almeida Foundation in Porto.
