Since October 2015, Venezuela’s El Sistema has had an important presence at the Gulbenkian Música, in the frame of a long-term residency that will have its end on the 2017/18 season. In September 7th and 8th, Gustavo Dudamel will return to the Gulbenkian Foundation for two concerts with the Orquesta Sinfónica Simón Bolívar de Venezuela, interpreting works by Desenne, Villa-Lobos, Ravel and Messiaen. On the 5th, you can also listen to the Simón Bolívar String Quartet, composed of top musicians from the Orquesta Sinfónica Simón Bolívar, who will interpret works by Ginastera, Chostakovitch and Brahms.
