First concert of a new residency by the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, which will culminate in a series of four concerts. Since it was founded by Claudio Abbado in Vienna in 1986/87, the orchestra has become a lure for all the great emerging European talents, achieving an unbeatable reputation for feisty and sweeping interpretations from the outset.
