Composed as part of the Passion 2000 project, marking the 250th anniversary of Bach’s death, this work combines symphonic language with Afro-Latin traditions, resulting in a score of great energy and expressive impact.

Under the direction of Joana Carneiro, the work will be presented as part of the Participatory Concerts – a project that invites amateur choristers, selected through auditions, to share the stage with the Gulbenkian Choir and Orchestra.
