Extraordinary Beethoven performer and great reference of Brazilian piano, Nelson Freire returns to Gulbenkian Music to render the German composer’s Piano Concerto No. 4. Less than enthusiastic about studios and records, he favours the truth shared with the audience, as happens in concert. “I can play with one orchestra in Belo Horizonte or with another orchestra in China; we are playing Beethoven and feeling practically the same thing”, he said in interview.
