Following his debut in 2015, conductor Benjamin Shwartz returns to Gulbenkian Music at a time when he is making a solid name for himself on the international circuit. Known to be a serious promoter and enthusiast for performing new work, having conducted several absolute premieres to date, Shwartz also seeks more unexpected partnerships, particularly with the visual artists. He will share this programme with pianist Varvara, for the first time in the Grand Auditorium, and with soprano Sunhae Im, who had her debut at Gulbenkian under the direction of René Jacobs.
