in residency II

One year after signing an exclusivity contract with the prestigious Deustche Grammophon, in 1989, the Portuguese pianist Maria João Pires recorded her first integral rendition of Mozart’s piano sonatas. The mastery of a composer she had been performing in concert since she was seven years old was quickly acclaimed at the highest level: she won the Grand Prix International du Disque and the CD Compact Prize. Considered one the most radiant Mozart performers of our time, on this occasion Maria João Pires share the stage with Armenian pianist Lilit Grigoryan.
