Denis Kozhukhin was born into a musically connected Russian family. While still very young, he began to listen to important pianists like Sviatoslav Richter, Radu Lupu, Grigory Sokolov and Martha Argerich, who helped to mould his talent and expression as a pianist. Behind performances rated as “bewitching”, “imperial” and “fascinating”, Kozhukhin will join the Gulbenkian Orchestra, conducted by Giancarlo Guerrero, to perform Schumann’s Piano Concerto, which foresees Mahler’s emotional 5th Symphony.
