Marina Viotti was a finalist in the Operalia competition in 2018 and was awarded “Best Young Singer of the Year” in London in 2019. Conducted by her brother, Lorenzo Viotti, she will make her Gulbenkian Música debut by embodying the protagonist of the lyrical tragedy La Voix Humaine (1958) by Francis Poulenc. This famous operatic monologue, in which a betrayed woman talks for the last time on the phone with her lover, trying to reverse her sentimental drama, was also the highlight of a happy artistic encounter between Poulenc and the author of the monodrama, his friend Jean Cocteau.
