Miserere (selection)
Being one of the greatest works of the twentieth century, the revolutionary and unexpected Nuits, by Xenakis, for 12 soloists, contrasts with the magnificent baroque music laments by Monteverdi and Gesualdo. The depiction of “night”, by Rameau and Schubert, joins the evocation of “death”, by Rossini and Górecki. Two topics addressed in several different and contrasting languages in the unique environment of the Panteão Nacional, of generous resonance and captivating dialogue between its spaces.
