The horse has always been a powerful artistic symbol.
In this gallery tour, David Chaffetz, author of “Raiders, Rulers and Traders, the Horse and the Rise of Empires”, will talk about how Iranian artists treated the horse, and what are they telling us with their beguiling equestrian figures.
The slide show will highlight paintings in the Gulbenkian, as well as in other museum collections.
