This technical drawing forms part of a series of projects developed by landscape architect Edgar Fontes from 1981 onwards (Document: SCT-GV-F-A1-00732-ic, Shrub Planting Plan for the Centro de Arte Moderna), following the construction of the new Centro de Arte Moderna building.
The interventions led by Edgar Fontes extended throughout the Garden, although they focused primarily on the areas surrounding the new building that were affected by its construction.
Changes to the planting scheme and vegetation structure resulting from the construction of the new CAM and CAI (Centro Artístico Infantil) buildings led to the development of a new drainage plan.
