“Uniting Voices, Inspiring Change” is a moving portrait of the Active Citizens Programme’s advisory group, consisting of 25 direct beneficiaries from some of the 182 projects supported by the initiative over the past seven years (2018 – 2024). The documentary showcases stories of personal and social impact, emphasizing the positive effects that the projects and the Programme have had on these individuals’ lives. Besides giving a platform to the beneficiaries and illustrating the idea and methodology behind the group’s conception, it also underscores the significance of the Active Citizens Programme for the Calouste Gulbenkian and Bissaya Barreto Foundations in achieving their missions and honoring their commitment to the EEA Grants and Donor States – Iceland, Norway, and Liechtenstein – to foster inclusion, civic participation, and social transformation.
