The Active Citizens Fund in Portugal is now accepting proposals for the implementation of the predefined project “Citizenship Education”.

The overall objective of this project is to foster a systemic change in citizenship education and to strengthen the role of civil society organizations in public policies and in promoting a more tolerant and engaged society.

Portuguese Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) meeting the requirements stipulated in Article 7 of the Programme Rules may apply as project promoters.

For the purpose of submitting a proposal, a consortium with a research center should be set up, in which the lead partner is the NGO promoter.

The project is due to be developed and implemented in 36 months, with an expected start date of March 1, 2019 and completion scheduled for February 28, 2022.

The overall budget of the project cannot exceed 200,000 euros.
