Last call is open!

The applications to the last call of the Active Citizens Programme are now open until September 16.

Committed to strengthening Civil Society, strengthening active citizenship and empowering the most vulnerable groups, the Active Citizens Programme launches today a call for applications with the aim of supporting Portuguese Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) to develop projects in 2 areas, with a total allocation of 600.000 euros:

A – Building NGO capacities for a more democratic society;

B – Empowering vulnerable groups and respecting diversity.

Small projects under this Call must have a total supportable between 10.000 and 35.000 euros and a maximum duration of 12 months.

The balanced development of Civil Society is a concern of the Programme and in line with the efforts made since 2018, in this call, applications from NGOs based outside the Lisbon and Porto Metropolitan Areas will have an increase in the evaluation of their applications.

A Q&A session is scheduled for June 22 (in person, at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, in Lisbon, and through digital platforms).

Q&A Session

In addition, and with a view to guaranteeing the widest possible access to the calls, namely by NGOs located outside the metropolitan areas of Lisbon and Porto, this session will be complemented with face-to-face workshops, this month, in the following cities:

Póvoa de Varzim: June 23 Viseu: June 24

Portalegre: June 29
