A new edition of the call for the creation of a platform for the defence and promotion of human rights, under the Active Citizens Fund in Portugal, is underway.

The objective of this project is to bring together the main Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) whose primary objective is to defend human rights in Portugal, by creating a platform capable of enhancing the work of their member organizations; better defend the fundamental rights of citizens, in particular those who are victims of any kind of discrimination; perform public policy monitoring functions; undertake research on human rights issues; to support the training of its members; to receive and deal with allegations of human rights violations and to raise awareness among the media and public administration of the issues underlying this issue.

Applications must be submitted by November 29, 2019. The project will be developed over 4 years, with a start date of February 1, 2020.
