Carla Rebelo presents the artist’s books created for the Sala do Conhecimento of the Palácio do Marquês de Pombal (Oeiras), as part of her solo exhibition Becoming water, held there in 2016. In each – Book of Calliope or Atlas of Ulysses; Book of Clio or Small alphabet of Architecture; Book of Polyhymnia or Book of Geometry; Book of Thalia or Story of a wig; Book of Urania or Book of the Moon – the artist convokes an inspiring muse, creating sculpture-books that challenge and surpass the conventional concept of book.
