Cycle Talks in the Library
April – July | 17h30-18h30 | atrium | free entrance
This cycle consists of a program of talks on fundamental texts for the understanding of 20th and 21st century art organized from the catalog of the Art Library of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
Assuming the essay or the article as privileged sources for the debate of ideas this initiative seeks to analyze the great theses of contemporary authors that have marked the critical reception of the modernist avant-gardes to the current artistic production, promoting the creation of spaces of public discussion that involve the community of readers of the Library and the other public interested. Each talk will be guided by a guest expert who starting from a text will present the public with his/her questions, which will be discussed together in a perspective that is desired to be participatory and where the speculative sense can take place.
