Following a workshop for singers and repetiteurs co-directed by Claudio Desderi and João Paulo Santos, a semi-staged version of the opera Il Signor Bruschino by Gioacchino Rossini will take on the stage at the Grand Auditorium on 12 June at 7.00pm.

The aim of the workshop, held under ENOA -European Network of Opera Academies in collaboration with the Gulbenkian Orchestra, and led by conductor Yi-Chen Lin, is for singers and pianists to improve their preparation for staged singing, typical of operatic performance.

Il Signor Bruschino is the last of the five one-act operas that Rossini wrote for the Teatro San Moisè, in Venice. Although composed in the early years of his career, the stylistic traits that the composer used so well throughout his operatic compositions can already be perceived here, particularly in his exploration of humorous and sarcastic effects, but also in structural terms.

Conditional entry – tickets available at the ticket office on the same day from 09:00h
