Auditions for the Gulbenkian Orchestra
Trumpet, Violin and Cello
The auditions aim to fill permanent vacancies in the Trumpet (Principal A), Violin (Tutti), and Cello (Principal A) sections of the Gulbenkian Orchestra.
All applications must be submitted exclusively through the Muvac platform. Any application submitted by any other means will not be considered valid.
The application deadline for each audition is indicated on the platform. The regulations and repertoire to be prepared for the auditions will only be visible on the platform after registration and login. Any questions should be addressed to [email protected].

The auditions will take place at the Headquarters Building of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation (Av. de Berna, 45-A, 1067-001 Lisbon, Portugal).
Why the Gulbenkian Orchestra?
Each season, the Gulbenkian Orchestra presents a regular series of concerts in the Grand Auditorium – a hall renowned for its unique acoustic qualities – where it has had the opportunity to collaborate regularly with some of the greatest names in the music world, including Gustavo Dudamel, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Kirill Petrenko, David Zinman and Susanna Mälkki, among others. In addition to performing in various locations across the country, the Gulbenkian Orchestra has been expanding its international activity through tours in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas. It has also produced numerous award-winning recordings for labels such as Deutsche Grammophon, Philips and Pentatone. Hannu Lintu, one of the most prestigious conductors of today, is currently Chief Conductor of the Gulbenkian Orchestra.
