Belcea Quartet and Jean-Guihen Queyras

Founded at the Royal College of Music in London in 1994, the Belcea Quartet was the outcome of a meeting between the Romanian violinist Corina Belcea and the Polish violist Krzysztof Chorzelski, both of whom were inspired by renowned ensembles such as the Alban Berg and Amadeus Quartets. From the very beginning, the diversity of the repertoire to which they are dedicated has been a priority, lending their acknowledged talent as much to pieces from the classical and romantic periods as to contemporary compositions. This recital will include the precious collaboration of Jean-Guihen Queyras for a performance of Schubert’s famous “Quintet with two cellos”.
